Wow, most good runner would never do that. Ive been in races with world class runners, futher back, and they are ok. Maybe before the race you or your partner tell oneof the official that some people are concerned about it; they dont want injuries.
Also, if you put you heat down and sprint thet will move aside. (I hope)

ok, it's understandable. However getting emotional and confronting them is probably not a good idea. Might not get the best results. Why not try talking to your running club organisers about this ? Maybe they can pass the message to all members of your club.

I would be feeling just like you! What a bunch of jerks! Be stronger than them and just ignore them, they aren't worth the stress.
You should have given the one on the end a good elbow!!! HAHAHA
You can always dream!

i would talk to the orgainizer and see what he/she says. then, if the organizer does nothing, in the next race try to talk to the "fab four" and see if they cant do their cool down off the track (or in someone elses lane!)

I'd say something to the race coordinators. They can then mention it to the "fab four" while you maintain your anonymity.

ask for a rules disscussion or just run into them. but if you talk to the chapter pres. about it asking if they can do something about it for the safety of the other runners.

Yell, "Coming through" as you approach them.
Maybe they don't realise what they're doing, but maybe they do and if you say something they can't ignore you without looking like jerks.

Just explain to them why it seems unfair to you. You do not have to yell at them. Just talk they might not even realize that it bothers some people.
