how long would it take to die after your wrist gets sliced?

it's a long, slow process...
a medical examiner could be more definative...
my best guess is a few hours.
As a lifeguard, I recovered the same woman twice in the same long day...the first time, for some unexplicable reason...she got out of the hospital.
At the end of my day I found her way out on a jetty I normally would never patrol...I just did because the sun was setting and the tide was right...there she was reopening her wounds and going deeper...
I had to wait until she lost consciousness because she held me at bay with her straight razor over slippery rocks.
she survived.
It's what humans do: we survive and endure.
We forgive ourselves and are reborn in this crisis...and we move forward.
She's an artist today.
She hates me.
Even took out a restraining order against me that I would have violated to save her life again.

Sorry that there doesn't seem to be a lot of Compassion here. Just remember that suicide is a Permanent solution, to a Temporary problem. Things will get better. I worked at a job where we handled suicide aftermath, and the Famailies of those who choose that path. The Famalies were devastated. They couldn't understand why They had not come to Them for help. And that feeling never leaves You. I myself have known five People who have ended Their lives, You never stop asking why, and what You might have done to change the course. So reach out to Those who Love You, Your Family, and Friends. They would want You to. Girls will come and go, it just wasn't meant to be. That only means that there is Someone better out there for You. You just have to be out there to meet Her. Also suicide is murder, and the Bible states, Thou shalt not commit murder. You are very Young, and there is so much more ahead for You. So call a Friend and talk to Them, then if possible, get outside, and feel the warmth of life on Your face, and know that better things are in store for You.

The combination of your question and your id tells me you are considering this.
Think about this. When you die it is permanent, your gone forever. As long as your here there is always a way out of anything. You just need to find someone to help.
Don't even consider this until you have tried to fix the problem.
Life is precious and when lived as it should be can be the highest of high. Taking crack was the biggest mistake of your life. Don't make another one.
Never ever give up on yourself.

Wow. What an odd question. Assuming you do it right (tape your wrists with duct tape, slice vertically (from the palm toward the elbow) rather than horizontally, and lay in water (e.g. a bathtub), I imagine you would die within 2 minutes. Let's not test the theory though, okay?

Some people don't even die if their arm gets bitten off by a shark, so you might not even die. You'll just be in pain for a long time, but you probaly will die if you don't go to a hospital.
Is this a suicide attempt idea for you or something?

First of all, why do you want to know? This is serious. You will pass out from the loss of blood. It is best that you talk to someone if this concerns you or another. Life is worth living and the Lord has plans for us. No matter what, if it isn't your time, It won't happen. Love life and embrace it to the fullest. You are loved.

probaly a horrible suffering hour in agony and pain. It's definitely not a good way to go. You would panic and suffer and eventually die. So I wouldn't try it if i were you!

If you did it properly, about a half hour.
If you didnt do it right you wont die, just be screwed up and go on living.

i hear it just feals cold and doesent even hurt but they say if u do it wrong it hurts like hell and u die very slowly by bleeding to death.
