Well it isn't documented by a laboratory, but my grandma lived to be 98. She was always in bed by 10:00. Didn't stay up for the news cuz it would, "change by morning", and she naturally woke up by 6:00 every day. She was never sick that I can remember and she had money in the bank to leave all of her kids so that is my observation.

Also, I notice that the jet setters and the night lifers tend to die young so that is further "proof" of sorts. Seems that those who wake up early get a head start on the ones who sleep late and the late risers never seem to catch up.

That is all on the average.

Your brain needs to rest everynight in order to absorb all the information it has gotten throughout the day. Sleep deprivation studies have shown that people lose their mental awarness and efficiency if you lack sleep. In simple terms the brain needs time to rest and process everything it has experienced during the day. This is when you have REM sleep and all that jazz. So a person who has rested well will be able to think better and be more alert and aware of whats going on. Therefore he will be the wiser making him the more wealthy.

Well, at the very least he will be rested! And rested goes a long way to having a good day and a productive one. A productive day with a good attitude helps one have a more successful relationships with coworkers and supervisors and clearer more succinct and insightful thought processes. This would help one be more likely to get good advancement and pay raises. The extra money would help with better quality food and the best mattress...which would help with that better nights' sleep! But that's where we started!
