Thanks

Hello. If you want to send me some details about what you are looking for I will see if I can help you out. I own a wedding business and although I can not "sponsor" your wedding, I can see what kind of package deal or discounts we can work out. (perhaps in return for you referring us to your friends and family) I would like to discuss this more privately. Please email me at: Jen@customweddingsolutions.com

Plan a wedding within your means. No one is interested in advertising at your "big event". I hate what has happened to weddings today. Brides think that their wedding truly is the event of the century. I have news for you, aside from your family and friends, NO ONE CARES. Thank you, Star Jones for blowing these brides heads up.

Unless you are Star Jones (or some other equally uncouth celebrity), it doesn't happen.

If companies wanted to give away their goods and services, they'd do it in front of audiences that are surefire bets to pay a lot for those goods and services because they saw them at the 'sponsored' event.

So you'd have to have your wedding on TV, or guarantee that you'd have significant media coverage, for someone to even think about it.

Just throw the wedding you can afford, no matter how modest, and enjoy with each other and your guests... that's the best deal you're going to be able to get.

Like corporate sponsorship? For this to happen you have to be the poster child for what the company wants. What they are looking for are all-American couples that would be good references to their potential clients. Sometimes they'll do PR and promotional events. To try to get sponsored, write letters to different vendors in your area asking if it would be possible to get a discount for being a reference or for helping them with publicity. Most will say no, but hopefully you can get someone!

Good Luck!

if you are referring to sponsors in a typical filipino wedding...

a ninong (male sponsor) and ninang (female sponsor) are like second parents to whom the couple could depend upon encouragement and counsel in their married years to come. they are not the couple's birth parents. they are kind of like godparents for the married couple.

there are also secondary sponsors. secondary sponsors play a part in the wedding ceremony, and each couple has specific functions: lighting of the unity candle, putting on the veil and the cord for their respective ceremonies. they are usually chosen from friends of the bride and groom.

sponsors are involved in the veil, chord, and candle ceremonies.

good luck! (and congratulations!)

Please don't do that. That is unbelievably bad manners, to sell your wedding guests as an audience to advertisers.

Plenty of people have to pay for their own wedding-- they somehow manage to do it without resorting to something so ugly as company sponsorship-- it has absolutely no place at a private, personal event!

Plan a wedding within your means.

You will have to talk to your vendors.
Some have these programs already set up.
They will do this in exchange for advertising.

Like your DJ or band saying, "These songs are brought to you by "Joe's Catering, 123 Main St". Or having programs printed up with the list of vendor's you used.
