Like my wife always says, it is not the price of the item that matters, but the thought behind it that counts. You can buy the littlest, cheapest, most insignificant thing, but if it comes from the heart the girl should love it. The sunflowers and a hot dog actually sounds like a winning plan if you are walking in the park or something similar to that.

No, you are not being cheap. It is romantic to pick flowers for a girl. If she likes hot dogs, it's OK but if she is wearing a fancy dress and you can tell that she just got a manicure and had her hair done and you take her to the hot dog stand on the highway in the pouring rain--well that is just so wrong. You will be able to tell by her reaction. Pay attention.

Depends on the moment. Now if you do this every time..the romance has died...or if you totally plan to stop and pick daisies at 8:05 and then move on to Hot Dog Vendor at 8:23...then no good.

I wouldn't take offense at sunflowers and a hotdog once in a while - but eventually I'd want a real meal.

Sounds adorable! It probably depends on the girl, though. Some brats might think it's cheap, but you don't want that kind of girl, anyway.

i love it...its simple... some of us still appreciate a flower picked or sitting on a bench having a hot dog with good real conversation,,,spending tons of money doesnt show how you feel for her its the thought that you put into ...

aww I'd like that. Handpicked flowers are better I think. I don't like hot dogs but that would be a ***** if I did'nt eat it. Most girls are materialistic and would rather you take them to dinner I think. But that's sweet, only a heartless ***** would'nt like that.

I would love it if a guy would do that for me! It sounds cute to me! Some girls wouldn't like it though but those girls are superficial and you don't need them. Good Luck!
