Impatience, and they know you are trying to irritate them when you slow down even further so try to irritate you back. As well as these cars being big and powerful they also have a much better braking system, you'd be as well to pull in slightly and let them pass - it'd probably be less stressful for you.

The answer you're looking for is 2 fold-
1. The drivers of these cars are usually minted and have more money than sense. This would explain why they all look like either failed pornstars, retired gigoles or a trainee for Tony and Guy. Also note the ridicluous accesories added onto what are sometimes beautiful cars- spoilers that live up to their name, Alloys that are so vulgar that liberace would cast them out and body modifactions that make michael jackson look natural!
2. The cars which they drive also have enhanced performance capability, but instead of being more cautious these silly pricks regularly rev their engines, speed and harass other orad users to get what they want- A car length ahead. Don't fret though, remeber these are high performance vehicles that have high perfomance running costs as well!
So the next time you're being haranaged by some idiot just remember all the extra petrol he's using, the extra engine wear he's causing, the extra tyre wear, battery juice and all the other things- and just smile at the poor schmuck!

If people were taught to drive a vehicle correctly rather than how to pass a drivng test the problems you have when driving wouldn`t happen. Just passing a driving test does not make you a driver indeed your comment about slowing down even more tells me that you are spend more time worrying about what is going on behind you than where you are going, simply pull over and let those behind you overtake. Perhaps the anxiety problem is nearer home.

People with BIG, POWERFUL cars tend to be making up for a lacking in the old trouser department. Driving close to the rear of your car tends to imply that they are homosexual, and that they wish to take you up the poop chute. These people also have too much money. This is a good thing as driving to close tot he rear of your car just means you can slam the breaks on and await a lovely settlement cheque from THEIR insurance company, becuase 1) they hit the BACK of you (automatically their fault), and 2) they were driving too close (therefore recklessly), and 3) it will mean one less as*hole is on the road while he waits for his car to be repaired... A win-win situation really...
I have also noticed that most "BIG, POWERFUL" cars tend to have indicators as an optional extra.

As others have said, big car drives think that the size of their car makes up for their deficiency in their underwear.
And their small package in their pants is exactly related to the overall size of their gray matter sitting on their shoulders.
Most of these big car drivers can only communicate in a crude form of sign language - their middle finger. They have a difficult time with verbal or written communication.
In fact, they usually let bumper stickers do their talking. Such as the one that says "Yes, as a matter of fact, I do own the road."
Think of them like kidneys stones on the freeway - don't get mad, deal with some pain, and just let them pass.
Signed,
Driver of a small car.

Not always.
But some get a power trip from driving a big, powerful car. Sometimes they are short, insecure men who need to hide behind a big car. I drive a big car, but I don't tailgate - I hate it. Though it is annoying when someone drives at 65 mph in the fast lane!!

Why do you drive an old car, because the people with no brains have all the new ones?
