Small elctroplating plant?

THere's a complete kit available.
It's pretty small.
It's designed to plate the ends of wheel lug nuts & name badges on cars.
It's readily portable in a small carrying case.
If you wanted bigger, there's one available for "touch-up" work on chromed surfaces.
You would need to look into those.

To plate effieciently it is good to research exactly what voltage is preffered for the metal. You also need to know the polarity. Generally if you get a tub of salt water. Anelectrode of the metral you want to plate with and an electrode that is really the object you want to plate. Put them both in salt water together but not touching. Connect up a DC power supply. it is a good idea to have a resistor inseries with the positive; sized so that a dead short between the electrodes would not blow the power supply on over current. Caution you will produce some chlorine gas and some flammable hydrogen gas. So make sure you are well ventillated.
