I've been disappointed by so many Christians over the years. I don't need to look at your links--I am already convinced that the story Jesus told (in the 13th chapter of Matthew) about the "wheat and tares" describes the truth of such evil-doers in his church.
Jesus said, "The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
He said unto them, An enemy hath done this.
The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto
us the parable of the tares of the field.
He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
So Jesus was aware of the problem LONG before you asked this question. He calls us to follow HIM, not the evil-doers.

The perversion of the orginal message does not invalidate the message nor the messenger. The only way this could be valid is if one could prove that all have been 100% honest and faithful followers through all these years ...or...that no good has come from the faith in all these years. I invite you to prove either. Otherwise this is not a valid arguement.
Fair questions all. I do not have any trouble with your searching and I believe that it comes from a good place. Please stay open and searching..."seek and ye shall find"....

It's proof that simple, mortal, and fallible human beings are capable of using their Bibles/Korans/whatever to justify terrible things...
I rather think that these people will have some great surprises come Judgement Day...

Religions around the world have zealots that take their religion into their own hands and use it as a cover for their actions. Adolf Hitler supposedly was religious, nothing surprises me. truly religious or spiritual people do not do evil things. to do so is to set oneself apart from GOD.

It seems that the Christians follow Paul, not Jesus. It is madness, and will only lead us to corruption. Actually it has give me an idea for a question...
