Yes, there is this road called dead mans curve where I live going into the mountains. Years ago, a friend of mine who was a bartender then was called back to the bar after closing because a man was passed out in his car. I went with her to help her put him in her car so we could take him home.

While entering dead mans curve I heard all this contagious laughing. I immediately began to laugh and my friend kept asking what I was laughing at. I kept saying I don't know and she began to laugh.

I asked her if she could hear the laughing and she kept saying no but laughed even more herself. We looked at each other and then I said that's where it's coming from and she said where and I said there and it was just then we passed him on the side of the road laughing his butt off.

He was like the old image we use for Halloween but made of red and glod flames and leaning on a flaming pitchfork. He had a long tail with a point like an arrowhead at the end.

I kept telling her he's right there and she was laughing more and then it dawned on her what was happening. She told me to stop laughing and pray and kept screaming PRAY! I couldn't stop laughing and she slapped my face..SHE WAS DRIVING!

I got mad bc she slapped me and then she slapped me again so I hit her back and then we were hitting each other so much we started laughing again. She composed herself and it was like we kept passing the same curve over and over and over again.

She said don't you know what's happening? This is dead mans curve and very few survive but those who do say they saw satan before they crashed.

We immediately started praying and kept praying all the way through the curve and got the man and took him home and she quit the job shortly after that so we wouldn't have to go through there anymore.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of God plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.
