what breed is your dog? some breeds just have that hang dog look to them. my dogs have all been terriers. when they look that way they are just plain bored. walking may not be enough activity for your dog. get some toys and play hard. also go to dog obedience classes. it gives your dog a purpose in life, plus social time with others of its kind.

More than likely the dog is just testing you. Dogs have this weird sense of there owners. What are your hot buttons and your sweet spots? My dog does the same thing. He is just trying to make me feel sorry for him and just play with him all day and night. It's just a dog's way to see how guilty he/she can make you feel.

Dogs have such great ways of saying "I LOVE YOU" They may look lilke sad eyes to you but I interpret that as being "I love you". They are, not as many people think, a gracious animal that gives its love in many ways.

He does this because he loves you. A dog's love is unconditional.
