Lets be clear, I am 110% opposed to illegal immigration. I view them as a cancer to our society. I am not opposed to LEGAL immigration. That being said, the Constituiton is very specific as to who can legally vote. Are people so stupid that they just dont know their own constitution?
Amendment XXVI - Eighteen-Year-Old Vote
[Ratified July 1, 1971]
Section 1 The right of CITIZENS of the United States, who are eighteen years of age or older, to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of age.

Section 2 The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

This is the Federal law and cannot be over riden by local or state laws. If you still believe illegals can legally vote then their is no reasoning with you.

Probably because all the pro-illegals are registering them to vote - in FW, Tx. area yesterday there was a protest by illegals over their "rights" - yes, there was all the hispanic pro-illegals registering them to vote - how many times do you think they turned a "blind-eye" to suspicious ID's? Needless to say our "elected-class" is not paying any attention to this FRAUD - Nor will they enforce voter fraud in November - both parties think they will profit in some way by this illegal activity! The only loser on this melee is middle-class Americans!

The Constitution says nothing about right to vote in the sense that you imply. Through the early 20th Century, some states allowed aliens to vote, at least if they had filed "first papers".

By the way, "non-citizen nationals" of the United States, born in American Samoa (pop. 57,000) and Swains Island (pop. 37) -- American territories both -- cannot vote. But they get American passports (their number is too small for the State Dept. to print anything special) and like citizens of Palau (Belau), Micronesia and Marshall Islands (and a few other places) and Canadian Indians ("First Canadians") and Inuit, they have absolute right to live and work in the USA with no visa or registration of any kind.

No one said it was legal. However the Democrats time and time again strike down legislation to require proof of citizenship for voting. Only one state, Arizona, currently requires this.

It is the illegal voting by illegal immigrants that we are speaking of.

No, sadly a great many people have no idea what the constitution actually says, let alone how it is generally interpreted.

But what many people are referring to (correctly) is the practice of many undocumented aliens who used forged IDs so they appear to be citizens. The votes are not legally valid, but that doesn't stop them from voting, nor does it generally stop the votes from being counted.

Dude, I agree with you. Illegal aliens are criminals as soon as they set foot in this country. Why should we give rights and aid to them. We have enough of our own criminals, we don't need them too. If they want to come to this country, they can do it legally!!!!!!!! Some countries would shoot someone that entered illegally. Wake up people.

You re right they cant vote. Their employers and lobbyists and middle to high class Americans would have a bigger say so on the candidate of their choice. Meanwhile low class Americans and welfare moochers would have the right to vote but wont have the same effect on their vote. Sorry but undocumented workers are wanted and needed here.

STOP HR 4437!!

Amnesty to all Undocumented workers!!

P.S. Not against immigrants but are against illegal immigration? How about Mexicans are not against building walls but not just throughout Mexico. That is racism.

That seems to prove that illegals DO indeed vote ... everybody knows it's illegal to pose as a citizen, but in some states they aren't too fussy about showing identification ....
