It is not God as a “personality” that is relevant but the concepts attributed to the word GOD that is. Life, hope, love, forgiveness, joy, wisdom, courage are all the best qualities that intelligence offers and the word GOD is used to embody these. It is when a human, fallible personality is attached that many people have a problem. The religions attached the personality to help people relate to the concepts. Remember it was only in very recent history that the masses were able to read or were educated to any degree at all, and having something that uneducated people could relate to what they understood was a very important need that had to be fulfilled in order to teach them the basics of spirituality. The major problem we are running into today is that religion has not caught up to education (and is in fact resisting being updated).

What if God is relevant to all? 'Is there a God' is the question. If there is indeed God, is it relevant to you? It is truly a question you should ask yourself. Nobody can answer it for you. What is relevant and what is not relevant to you in this life or thereafter?

That depends on your beliefs about God.
Some philosophies do not believe God exists. Some, that he does, but is like a great clockmaker: he started the universe going, and is no longer involved. Some believe there is not a personal god, but a place or state of being that is the goal of religion. Some believe that your very life and future, either now, or in the afterlife, hinge on your relatoinship with God. And some, while he may not be all that involved in the individual, is very active in on a more generational or global stage.
So as you can see, some stances regard God more relevant than others.

Whether and why God is relevant depends on the context. If you were discussing the war in the Middle East, for example, God would be relevant because there are strong religious tensions that relate to that conflict.

Why is air relevant? Why is water relevant? Why is food relevant? We need all these things to stay alive. God is the author of life and provider of all other necessary things.

Probably because he created everything around you including humanity. Its probably a good idea to find out what the Creator of the entire universe would like from you....... But maybe thats just me!

Who stretched a measuring line across it?

god, more specifically the issues of the supernatural, are relevant for several reasons... mostly because as humans we are concious of our own imminent deaths... we wonder what comes next, where we go when we die, why we are here in the first place, etc... these are questions that cannot be dealt with in science, so people turn to belief systems involving the supernatural... this includes atheists and agnostics
and no, im not a religious person.. just spiritual

Religion is as much a part of the human soul, as the human soul is part of God. That is why both God and religion are relevant.

If you are a believer, God is the creator of all. If you are a non-believer, then He may very well be irrelevant as far as you're concerned.
