work on your punching form and your leg work
do it for hours on end it may get boring but
trust me it WILL help you in the long run.
fist push ups and squats will help.
make sure to use your 2 main knuckles..
also you should take some jujitsu classes to help your grappling, and take tai-chi to help your balance,
trust me a person skilled in tai-chi is really hard to trip or throw.
but special training does not substitute for hard work
you need both!
Good luck ,hope to see you in the octagon someday;)
P.S. if you want some other exercises email me.

Start with kickboxing since that's where your heart is at now. Work on mastering the skill of kickboxing and then start studying a submission style of fighting that interests you. Today's UFC fighters are well-rounded. Stay focused, even when you get discouraged.

Start competing in kick boxing tournaments, get someone to videotape your matches, build up a respectable record, and submit all that to the casting director fir the next Ultimate Fighter. Either that or offer to fight as an amateur against any established UFC fighter on an under card and expect to only get a few thousand at best. Tito's fought his first fight against Guy Mezger as a last minute replacement amateur and only got like $700 or $1000 for filling in that spot. 2 or 3 fights later UFC offered Tito a contract and the rest is history. Liddell broke into UFC in a similar fashion, fighting as an amateur before UFC offered him a contract.

kickboxing is a good start.if your school has a wrestling program get into it wrestling is very important to learn as you control where the fight will take place with wrestling.you also have to know about submissions so training in jujitsu is something that you will have to do as well.if there are any gyms that train fighers preparing for MMA in your area you might be able to train in alot of this at one place.make sure you take wrestling in high school
