I am 1/4 Native American and am curious to know how much Native American bloodline is required to join the Native American Church.

Please only answer if you have a knowledge of the subject.

Current Federal law requires NAC members to have at least one-quarter American Indian ancestry. Most states require the same.
To my knowledge, NAC, does not actively recruit.

The Native American Times Newspaper, an independent newspaper, with offices in Tulsa, Oklahoma, may be able to connect you with an NAC in your area.

Write Native American Times, 12833 E. 41st St., Tulsa, OK 74146, or go their their website, Native Times.com.

If you are seeking this church merely for their "peyote" ceremony, be aware that they strongly encourage their members to abstain from alcohol, practice monogamy; and, in general, lead a clean life. The "peyote" rites provide spiritual awareness and cleansing, not a "drug-induced" party.

I think you have to be on the tribal roles or trace your geneology to someone who is. Not positive though.
