Dane is just a shortened version of the name Great Dane. There is no breed simply called a Dane.

I like to think that I know dogs but I have never heard of a DANE breed of dog... I searched the Internet and nothing comes up for JUST DANE.. always Great Dane. I hope that helps.

Dane is just a short name for a great dane. People jsut get lazy so they say dane. No, dane is not another breed of dog.

I have never heard of one allot of people call great danes just danes but don't know of a breed called that.

No the only dog known is the great Dane...They do not come in different sizes ....which perhaps what you wanted to know...ie standard, miniature & toy poodle..Hope this helps
