She should have then today or tomorrow. Normal gestation is 58-65 days. Anytime a dog goes past 65 days then there should be some concern. However, some dogs will carry for as long as 70 days. As long as the puppies are moving good then I'm not sure anything is wrong at this point. Tomorrow will make 70 days from her second breeding. There is still the possibility that she bred a few days later that you weren't aware of and that could explain the delay. I definately think that if she hasn't gone into labor by morning then you do need to call your vet to have her checked. Have you been checking her temp? Look at this website - it is packed with great information and tips http://www.debbiejensen.com

The 63-65 days is from the FIRST breeding. If there were more than one, it could be 65 days from the LAST breeding. Also, the sperm can live in the female for 5 days after a breeding, so if she ovulated on the 5th day, it would be 65 days from then.
There are a lot of variables. See a vet. He can make sure the puppies are still alive and the bi tch is doing well.

Well... as you know... Gestation is the period when the young are developing in the mother's uterus. In dogs, gestation normally lasts 9 weeks (63 days). However, puppies may be delivered between 58 and 68 days. I have never heard of any longer than that unless there is developing problems with the delivery. You COULD BE wrong you know on the time period that the puppies started developing.. Nine weeks is the normal with 3-5 days on either side possible.

Some times they may go alittle bit later say day 65-67, by day 69 if she hasn't delivered then get your vet or take her to a vet. Some breeds have difficulting birthing and might need a c section.

If a dog hasn't had puppies by the 67th day you need to consult with your vet. By the way the time to find out about breeding, whelping, newborn care etc is BEFORE a breeding takes place not after!!

I would agree that you should take her in on day 69 if no babies yet. You could be wrong about the day she concieved.... but it is always better safe than sorry. YOu could be putting your females dogs life in jeopardy if you lett her just continue to carry them. The dogs life is worth more than the 100 dollars you would spend on the consultation.

I get very worried if mine go over 65. How many days is she now? You may want to take her to the vet tomorrow and just let him check her out. Good luck with mom and babies

If she hasn't began labor by day 68, she should see the vet on day 69....He will likely give her a hormone to get her started..Or check to see if she needs a C-section..
