I urge you to change barbers. Either you have been visiting a sadistic hair stylist or a confused moile.

The long hair in the pictures (even the face) is an artist rendering. The true appearance of Jesus was not preserved through paintings, murals or statues. So nobody can tell what He really looked like.
One reason that Jesus is depicted as having long hair is that, Jesus was a Nazarite (one who is dedicated to the Lord). If one is a nazarite (like Samson), his hair should not be cut.

"Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering." -- 1 Corinthians 11:14-15 .........now when you read that, doesn't it make sense, that Jesus, did not have long hair? That was an artists rendition, and maybe some of the other people wore their hair like that..actually, it only says once in the Bible, in the Book of Revelations, what the Lord Jesus looked like ....... Revelations 1:14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire.... circumcision was for cleanliness..but I am having a time trying to figure out the connection? ...I am sure that the Lord did not have long hair.

I think a better question is why is Jesus commonly represented as a white man. He was born in the Middle East. Shouldn't he be more Arab or black??
And how in the heck did he get the Spanish name Jesus (properly pronounced Hay-zus)??

It is one of the best kept secrets of the bible that Jesus wore a wig when performing in public. Apparently, he was completely bald with a ''I Love You, Mom' tattoo across the top of his head. Only the closest of the apostles saw him like this and decided it would be bad pr to let the word get out.
