Here's what's changed: when you apply to college, colleges ask for high school transcripts. They don't ask to see your grades from junior high or middle school.

depends on your study habbits and what courses you took.
Lets face it , high School is more then just study and learn its also a Social event to meet and learn how ot interact with others and the ability to meet and keep friendships going. So learning a new school lay out - new friends and new classes are hard BUT once you get into the flow and learn whats what you will be fine. You went from being the TOP class ( 8th grade ) to being a freshman ( 9th grade ) thats the lowest level of High School. So it will take some getting use to and once you adjusted it will be fine.I may take a few weeks or months but you will find you will adjust to the times and classes and the nstart having fun.Keep the stuides habits good and you will be fine. Just show mom and dad you can handle it and life is good ! Then have fu nand enjoy your years in high school.

Well, yes. It is that hard. High school is much more demanding, and the worst part...is the teachers don't care whether you do the work or not, they'll fail you and not think another thing about it.
If you're thinking at all about college and career, get on the ball! This is serious but it's fun too!
Have a good year!

If you're not serious about school and getting out, it will be. The reason is high school has so many things going on along the lines of peer pressure and an increased work load. Many students get lost in the social aspect that they slack on the education part. If you want to get away from your parents, the best bet is to get good grades to go away to the college of your choice. If you can balance the social and educational parts of high school, you'll be fine and you'll gain some necessary skills to survive in college. Good luck!

Highschool is nothing like anyone tells you. You basically have to figure it out yourself. If you plan on not doing your work in class, then your obviously either going to get really bad grades, or your going to have that amount of homework. The easiest way to get through freshmen year is just to concentrate in class, and get your work done as soon as possible, so you can have a social life too.
It really is not that hard, and I've never studied for 4 hours in one night.... I think anything over 2 is rediculous because you forget the stuff you began with anyways.
Hmmm...

I believe that a proper and well planned out education is very important if you want to do things with your life and go places. I went to a decent high school but I felt that it didn't really prepare me for anything in the future. High school is hard if you don't pay attention and you don't do anything with it. If you get involved and excited... it's not so bad. I think the gov't is not doing a very good job with the educational system. Best of luck to ya!

I dont think high school is all that hard but there a lot of things you can get caught up in rather than your school work. high school is a time where yes you need to have a little fun and find out the kind of person you are going to be. but you also need to be able to put your head in a book and block out all the drama.

No. The only thing that you have to worry about is to do your homwork and try not to miss any days of school. For me, it was really hard for me to make up a lot of work. Dont worry, it isnt that bad. Good luck and have fun =]

no not really I'm a freshmen to and already started school. The real difference is that you don't get babied around as much and that can be a bad thing if you never do your work but if you do it shouldn't be a problem

Anything in life worth having is not EASY. It will only be a hard task to achieve if you make it hard!
