I went out with my friend's brother on friday night.... we had hung out in group situations before a few times, and so he asked me to dinner. We had a great time, met up with friends after dinner and stayed out all night. I thought it went perfect, and we had a nice kiss good night. He came by the next day to say hello for a few minutes because he was nearby. We both have been nervous but excited around eachother since we met, and i think there's real chemistry... SO since I'm a dork, I decided to give him a small thank you for dinner.... I wrote out this quote that I really like, and wrote "thank you for dinner, and for making me laugh.... I'm glad we met." on the back of the quote. He seemed really stoked when I gave it to him, and he called later that night, but the phone got disconnected. Then he sends a text saying "sorry about the phone, I don't know what to make of your note..." Did I screw things up?? I thought it was a nice way to say thanks, but now I'm wondering......

I don't have the actual quote in front of me, but it was basically a cool observation about people, and I thought that it conveyed that I thought he was cool inside and out.... I guess it could have been confusing...... it was something baout stained galss windows, and a light from within.... now that I'm writing this, I feel REALLY stupid!!! I just really htink he's great, and he has these really awesome eyes..... the quote made me think of him...... ugh......

Your note although you meant well. Sounded like just a note on that you give to any body that would take you out. There was no feeling in it. Nothing saying you would love to see him again. I think that's what he was looking for.

We need to know the quote. Do you know if he had read the note before the disconnected phone call?

I don't think u screwed things up. Just tell him what u the note meant. No need to be embarrassed.

maybe he thinks that you just want to be friends. that is the impression i got from the quote. just tell him to forget about it and that you really like him. tell him and he probably wont care about the note. good luck =]
