Your conure will quiet down over time. It is what birds do. Conures also do not make a lot of noise at night. (normally) Try putting a blanket over the cage. Also try hold the bird. My parrot would make a lot of noise just because she wanted to be held. I doubt this is the case of your being that you have not had it very long. But the blanket over the cage seemed to work for me.

I have a Conure and like all caged birds, they like to be talked to and not ignored. Clip his wings and let him out of the cage for wing exercises. At first he will fly and land on the floor, use a towel to pick him up to get him use to being handled. Find a place for him to land in the house, I use a piece of flat board on the refrig, then give him a treat when on the board. He will soon start landing there looking for his treat. After time he will quiet down if you keep him supplied with fresh water, food and companionship. Watch him carefullly for he will eat up your window frames and sills.

He's wanting attention from you. He wants to be interacted with. Make sure he's got some cool toys to play with. They love the toys that have buttons and bells on them. They are a playful bird. Interact with him/her. You are their family/flock now. They cannot be ignored.

Poor bird, half cover his cage with a blanket so he doesn't feel so exposed. He has no idea where he is or who you are.

He needs time to adjust to his new home.

Usually a week or two.

He'll be fine after that.
