i grew up with a bunch of guys but the way i see it sometimes is that females have the feeling to be competitve towards one another. someone might think they are in a higher class then another or better then someone else. its almost like a natural thing to do. i see guys do it too its not just women. it also exist in all living things. even animals do that kind of stuff. reguardless of what kind of person we are, its in everyones nature to do that because it comes in all different ways. we just might not see it, but its there.

Most of it is biological. It all goes back to early days. The facial features were used to let others know if you were a fertile body. Often times, certain features, such as a high brow line, eyes shapes, lips were found more attractive than others. Not much different now except instead of being regulated to one race liking the same racial features, we have a good mix. Some men don't feel the competition the way women do because a lot of guys don't have a highly developed sense of empathy. Women tend to be able to look at another person and say they are attractive from anothers viewpoint. Because of this, and because of the "wanting mates" trait from long ago, women see other women as competition for mates. It can come off as snobbishness, rudeness or some other form of cruelty, but because we are restricted to non-physical violence, it keeps us from trying to kill off the competition, which is what used to happen. (Still does in some species of animals) The ones way to really get the blood pumping though, don't hang out with the girls, hang out with guys, less fuss and you tend to get better friends, as well as one up on the mate competition.

Because we are in constant competition whether we want to be or not. It comes from back when we weren't so civilized and good loyal men were hard to come by (not that it's alot easier now, just different) Men don't have the programming in their brains telling them that if they want to have a stable environment for their children then they must never allow another man into their space. Women seem to have this, we are born knowing that another female may take from us the one man that is protecting us. Most mothers and daughters don't even get along too well because in their lives that man is the husband/ father. Best wishes

hasty generalization. i am not snobby when around other females. i don't gossip most of the time. it's a humiliating past-time if you ask me. and i do get along with other females as long as they don't step on me or my principles. and most of the time, im an observer in the crowd.
most probably you had a bad day. don't let them get to you. they'll go nowhere and in the end, what matters is you and you alone. hugs.

I think it's because guys get their hostility out on the table. A guy can punch another guy in the face and then go get him a cold beer to put on it and continue to watch the game. If a girl did that their would be hours of crying and weeks of hate, then crying again, and maybe they'll make up maybe they won't.

A woman is more self conscious.Self consicious about her physical characterists. Self conscious about the males who may be looking at her but in their minds mentally raping her.So to respect a female's privacy there should be seperate room, when she wants a seperate room. And who said all guys are good.(maybe a guy)

because there'll always be at least one person who'll be that snobby, gossip kind who'll eventually find someone like her and start gossiping with or will find a small group and will start her mischief there.

Sometimes it is just plain jealousy that causes women to act that way

I think it comes down to jealously. Especially those in their teenage, and early twenty years.
