Stitches aren't supposed to dissolve.

Well you have already paid the dentist to do the job correctly. Just tell him to lose the stitches or you will report him. Soda will have no effect at all.

Generally not. Stitches that have to be removed are usually make of silk and are quite strong. Soda ususally has no effect. They should be removed by the doctor that put them in about a week later. DO not try to remove them yourself - may be painful, may cause infection, and worse, you may leave a piece in that will later result in infection or foreign body reaction. The doctor who did the oral surgery should routinely remove these stitches at no charge.

whatever you do, do NOT remove the stitches yourself. Some docs actually report that to the insurance companies and the insurance may not pay for the procedure. Call your doctor to make sure you are able to eat or drink special items.

they coould be disolving ones it takes upto 6weeks ..soda may work one them kind but regular ones i dont think so ....find some1 u really trust to take em out ...cut close to the knots use a bright flashlite ..sharpest sissors run over a flame 1st same w/ the twisers ...make sure u know how r in so same the # come out .but dont take em out tillu were supose to go for doc to take em out or wound may open ...after out rinse with 1/2h20 +1/2 hydrogen peroxide
