I knew you must be a coeliac because a friend of my sister's has the problem. I then put this in the search engine, and found french websites. From this, I have put together the following. It may not be totally accurate (French-wise!) - but they will understand! (I speak French, but it is not very technical when it comes to medical matters!). I know ble is wheat, but I do not know the other ones - but apparantly coeliacs cannot eat them!

J'ai la maladie Coeliaque. Je peut pas manger Gluten. Pour moi, c'est totalement interdit toutes consommation de Blé, Seigle, Orge, Avoine, ainsi que leurs dérivés, par example les pains, pâtes, pizzas, gateaux.

(this means: I am a coeliac. I cannot eat gluten. It is totally forbidden for me to eat wheat......, as well as things made from them such as bread..............)

Also make sure your companions know what to say, just in case you accidentally eat something. If I were you, I would print out all the answers and give everyone a copy, to be on the safe side.

Bonne vacances!

Yay! I'm french canadian so I love that kind of question.

wheat= blé (pronounce a bit like "blay")
flour= farine

allergy and allergic are pretty obvious: "allergie" and "allergique", respectively.

I am allergic to wheat:
"Je suis allergique au blé"

I am allergic to flour:
"Je suis allergique à la farine"

If you worry to much about how to actually say the words, just write those sentences down on a cue card or something and show them to your waiter.

But don't worry, it's pretty easy, they should understand you.
Hope that helps!!

Wheat: ble
Flour: Farine (de ble)
Gluten is the same word, just accent the second syllable.
Je suis allergique a la farine de ble: I'm allergic to wheat flour.

I use Google for translations. You can find the translator at:
Unfortunately, it does not help with enunciation.

I am not sure if you speak French; the cue card is an excellent idea. Here is how it would be pronounced (not spelled)

Je sweeze all-air-jeek (the J is like an s in treasure) a la fah-reen ay blay.

Je suis allergique a la farine et ble.
