Yes,
And, if you look back to the end of Jesus's life there is the story of how Mary once washed his feet in oils/perfumes and dried them with her hair. Selling beer at a bizaare or playing bingo is not much different if the goal is to bring the Church community together. The money raised goes to the community not the priests. So, I don't think Jesus would see this as perverse.

Not yet, it does seem contradictory to have bingo and beer at a church. (church property)
These are things that can be abused by those who cannot control themselves. (the addictive personality).
We should as Christians stay away from corruption, not go toward it and have it around in hopes of conversions. What an example it sets on those who have had histories of substance abuse and gambling fever, or could have tendencies toward it.
It's like a clinic that helps people break free from addictions suddenly opening a casino and bar next to it to help with the business expenses.
It doesn't make sense. It is indeed diabolical in a subtle way.

I knew people who were hooke don it and lost every thingAs a non catholic I don't know what they do with the money, but I know they use gambling to raise money and go after the poor who can least afford it just like all gambling organizations,
A Catholic church in Gulf Port, Mississippi once had a sign in front of it advertising "Los Vagas " night.
I knew people who were hooked on the church bingoand lost everything on it. and the pot really was not that big.

<> sure. that's. <> that's no longer "hidden". that's merely 'out of how', as a manner to coach understand for any recuperating alcoholics. <> Catholic parishes will many times carry those "fairs" to help advance money for the parish. The sale of alcohol at such activities additionally enables advance money. of course, the alcohol would be high priced, yet there is two motives for that: a million) The sale of alcohol enables advance money for the parish. all of us choosing to purchase an alcoholic beverage does so understanding lots of the money they are spending is surely a charitable donation. 2) The severe cost curbs over-intake of alcoholic beverages. eating alcoholic beverages moderately isn't morally incorrect, yet over-concumption is.

Oh well, a walk to the bingo hall is just a few steps away from the church door. You never know when a conversion will take place. God works in mysterious ways -- His wonders to perform!

All Catholic churches are corrupted that is why I left it. You are right Jesus doesn't want that in His House of Worship. I guess the Catholics forgot that Jesus destroyed the tents that were in front of His Temple, where people were selling stuff. Making money in His Name is a sin. God says - He who befriends the world isn't of God. God Bless!
