Constant/frequent/long seizures cause the body to overheat, which can in turn cause damage to the brain. In addition, grand mal seizures frequently cause pressure in the eyes to build to the point where blood vessels burst, making the dog partially/temporarily blind.
For the sake of the dog, you need to get this under control. See a vet.
Check this site for great information:

Although many things can cause seizures (including trauma, poisons, etc.), if you vet can't find a physical reason for the seizures, they will likely term the porblem "epilepsy" (i.e. "we don't know what's causing this"). Genetics seem to play a role in epilepsy, as well.

Brain damage may cause seizures; however, are you sure your dog is having seizures, or is it possible it is moving around during a dream?
If in doubt, watch carefully and time the length of the seizures, and take note of how many it is having in a day or a week, and take your dog to a vet for assessment and treatment. Seizures lasting longer than a minute or many seizures in a row require urgent treatment. Please see the link below for more detailed info.

Seizures are usually caused by some type of a brain problem, to begin with. How old a dog is it ? If it is a real old dog, then it could be many things, causing seizures. Parasites, can cause convulsions, and infection. Take the poor thing to a Vet.

My dog has seizures too. ACT QUICKLY. Call the vet and he will administer medication (most likely to be given daily). And be careful not to miss a day. If i miss one day on my dogs seizure medication he WILL have a seizure that day. But with the meds he is a perfectly happy normal doggy. Good luck. HURRYHURRY!!!

Take him to a vet ASAP. My mom's dalmation started having seizures. She lost the ability to walk and then to even stand. See if it can be treated early enough to prevent that type of suffering
