It could be a handgun. There's a type know as a .357 magnum. The .357 refers to the diameter of the bullet.

Three hundred and fifty seven of something....examples being...
Room number 357.
Page number 357
357 cats in a sack. maybe going to St Ives???
Or there are two other possibilities....
(1)The three numbers do have a catchy rhyme to them, are they part of a song?
(2) It is an area code for Canton Ohio, and a Country Code for Cyprus
I need some more info......
Edit- A gun, hmm, that never occured to me as I have never touched one, and never want to....add that to my list :)

I see 357 cubic inches, topped off with a row of Holly 850cfm's on a Tarantuala manifold, expelling gas through a set of Black Jack hooker headers, exiting through balanced Thrush waste gate turbo mufflers. Drugged with NO's injection, stolen from the hospital, I smile as it crackles through the blue printed perfection called my big block. 357 means I am getting rubber in all four gears, and that 911 turbo has to get back, and eat my rubber. Their ain't no substitute for cubic inches boy.

Need more information. It could mean a gun caliber, or a dog-breed, like a mutt or mixed breed dog. It could mean a chapter number of something. But usually it means a gun caliber. Certainly something I would rather not know!
Go to yahoo.com and type the number 357 & go.

The size of my gun.
That would be .357 caliber. Or the size of the bullet coming out.
