I like coffee to be piping hot. I tried Senseo. 5 different Mr. Coffee machines, GE, Perculators, even a $100 Bunn. They all make coffee that is only warm to me. So who is really happy with their coffee maker? What is the hotest brand out there. You can tell I'm very into my coffee. It is the first thing I care about in the morning, and I have about 8-10 cups a day, so its only natural that I want it my way.
I suspect that the manufacturers produce their machines to work with lower temperature water for safety reasons. But all elecrtic kettles, stoves and ovens go to propper temps. Why should my coffee suffer? Do I need to pay $250 for a commercial brewer?
Thank you for your time on this.

I know your problem, my fix has been to pop my cup in the microwave for about 30 seconds and give my cup an extra zap of heat.

You might also try warming your cup before you fill it with coffee by running it under hot water for a minute.

Usually a Bunn makes the hotest coffee. Try an capachinno machine or and expresso machine. You maybe like some that like it extra hot and not too many machines will do that. have you considered a microwave to bump up the temp??

I too like my coffee very hot! Have returned several that did not provide the heat that husband and I wanted. Finally found a 12 cup Black and Decker at Walmart for less than $20 and we love it! Good luck! Makes excellent coffee using Maxwell House, Folgers Half as well as gourmet brands!

You really don't want one that makes cold coffee?
Have you been to Walmart? Mr. Coffee does fine, while it lasts.
But they only last, maybe 3 years. No, you don't need to buy a commercial one. Just go to a special place, that sells coffee makers. Sears has a microwave oven, that's also a cofee maker.

I find I have the same problem so I leave the pot of coffee sitting on its warming plate for 10 minutes and the longer it stays there the hotter it gets. I've let it sit there for a 1/2 hour and it's so hot that it burns my lips and I have to let it cool down.

Get a french press. Then immediately pour the prepared coffee into a pre-heated thermos.
Great coffee, stays warm, uses almost no power.

A Bunn!! You made me want coffee. It makes the best tasting--AND it's VERY fast!! It comes out hot, because water is always in it---waiting on you.

I'm going to make some and get off this computer!! MAN!! I am proud of myself!

Check out 'consumer reports' on their web site. All coffemakers
are rated and listed with wattage, time it takes to heat etc.
