I would like for you to tell me exactly why you think that we don't have Free Will of Choice?

I think yes, it is possible that people can get intimidated by threat of hell. But its a fact too.
But there are few things that can help us to see the real picture
- we are responsible for whatever we do, so if we do something wrong , its us who will suffer, so we dont need to be intimidated by some one else.
- as a human being , its a normal urge to find the truth, so rather being intimidated by someone else, its better to go your self and discover , study religions , if it impresses you, go for it, if it doesnt then in the end its your decision what to do.
knowing by your self is very important, i mean discovering by yourself. Because there are many many many people who might be just portraying they are actually the believers and they know the truth, but it doesnt matter at all what they know, what matters is ' DO YOU KNOW'

I don't think so. Being cohered into anything. I'd think that given the freedom we enjoy in our thoughts many folk reject what they may appear to support. It's just keeping the peace. Hell! LOL, I never got that one. The logic is very Childish. In fact I retract that, most Children are quite sensible until they get filled full of all the jazzafications and gyrations of religion. It's very hard to unravel for some. The easy path is to go along with whatever, forgo your liberty to expression to maintain your freedom of thought. Well, easy for some; maybe most. I can't do it. Yet I do believe in God. I don't think God could give a rat's potato what we do, all the mumbles and hellfire is tosher; but the belief will not die in me. I feel God is, just as I'm sure I am. I can't make it go away. I rationalize, apply logic; extrapolate outwards from hundreds of scenarios; who knows; maybe thousands; and still it's there. I've unlearned so very much and outright rejected even more so words that once meant something seem inappicable in some contexts for me now. With the exception to the word faith. For myself it has always meant to believe in the unbelievable. That's God for me. Perhaps my faith is to believe in the unfathomable. I don't think I'll ever be free of this. The yolk sits uneasy on my shoulders yet I'm not bound to it. I can't put it down, perhaps I never will. You must soar with your freedom!

Umm, that is a pretty silly question.
Let's say I drink a bottle of booze. I have free will to either drive my car or not. Even though I know I may crash or kill someone, and there will be consequences, I still have free will to do either.
Let's say I make the decision not to drive because I love my family and myself and I don't want to see anything bad happen.
Now, do you get it?
We are all accountable for our decisions. God offers Salvation freely, as a free gift through Jesus Christ. Hell isn't a threat, it is the punishment of sins -- as all crimes carry a punishment.
Would you respect a God who lets criminals go free? No! Just like you wouldn't respect a judge who let every criminal go free. There must be a punishment -- just like every criminal has free will and the ability to choose their actions.
You have been offered a wonderful gift from a loving God.
Free gift + personal choice + free will.

Your statement implies that you believe in God, therefore making you a theist. If you are intimidated into believing God, this means that you must believe in him, otherwise you wouldn't be afraid.
We do have choices, to believe or not to believe. All major world religions are exclusive, believing that their path is the correct path and all others lead to hell, a less comfortable heaven, etc. To use a charged word like "intimidation," you weaken and muddle your position.
What's the real question?

I was just having a conversation about this yesterday. The concept of heaven and hell is secondary compared to all the reasons I love God. I love the Lord like a father. He is someone that has always been there for me and nurtured me. I ask myself everyday. "What else can I do for the Lord" he has done so much for me it motivates me to want to be a better Christian for him. When the end is here I hope I go to heaven but there is no real guarantee that you are in for sure. So instead of worrying about it I would rather focus on the life I'm living here and now.

Whether you're intimidated or not, you still have the choice. The point of hell is not intimidation, it's just a result of the choices you make, and it's not a threat, it's just somewhere you go if you choose not to accept the gift God wants to give you.

Of course theres free will, and theres no threat of going to hell, its just whats going to happen, its the truth, this is not the sole purpose why people believe in God, we believe, because its real, and no joke, we also care about what happens to us after we die...i know i don't want to go to hell, but i have so much love for God, that's why i believe in him, he sent his only son to die for our sins not his own, Jesus was perfect in every way he had no sin, but he did that for us, now if that isn't selfless love, then i don't know what is, and God is the only light of this world, and we Christians will follow him, and continue our walk with him.

God gives us choices. It is our freewill to believe in Him, accept his Son into our hearts, or we can go to hell. Having hell doesn't force us to believe in Him, it's still your choice. He's God and His ways are perfect. We are His creation and He is our creator, don't you think that would be enough for Him to make the rules?

we are gods children. its not intimidation, its respect. as any good parent, God has guidelines for us. "you do this....this will be the consequence". its no different that a parent telling a child, "if you dont listen i will put you in the corner" the punishment is just harsher. but also on the flipside, the parent says "if you do as your told, i will give you a cookie" and God's reward is everlasting love in the kingdom of Heaven. you cant beat that deal.
