This is one I wrote many years ago:
A TINY SOUND A WHISPER OF A WORD,
IN THE SILENT MOMENTS THE VOICE COULD BE HEARD
MY EYES CLOSED, FOLDED HANDS, SEARCHING THE DARKNESS FOR THE ONE GREATER THAN MAN
THE LOUD VOICES I SWIFTLY PASS BY,
LOOKING FOR THE WHISPER TRYING NOT TO CRY
SILENTLY I WAIT AND DEEPLY I SIGH,
KNOWING THAT JESUS WOULD NOT PASS ME BY
HIS PROMISES CLOSE TO MY I HEART I KEEP,
KNOWING HE IS THE GOOD SHEPARD AND I AM HIS SHEEP
MANY THINGS I VENTURE TO TRY,
BUT SOONER OR LATER I KNEAL DOWN AND CRY
I CALL OUT TO HIM FOR HE UNDERSTANDS,
HE IS GENTLE AND KIND AND HOLDS OUT HIS HAND
HIS PRESENCE I SLOWLY BEGIN TO FEEL WITHIN
I AM REFRESHED, ENCOURAGED AND SOON ON THE MEND
THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS I CANT TELL YOU TO TRY
BUT THERE IS NO OTHER WHO WOULD BE WILLING TO DIE

*Winter Comes and Goes*
Despair comes like a plague
Depression is on it's way
Mist and snow, it's very vague
To see what lies for that day
Trip and stumble through the fears
What lies ahead is yet to be seen
Fright and terror comes out in tears
It's a horrible, dreadful scene
Blizzards and strong winds
Darkness and frosty cold
Reminds us about our sins
Let go of it and take hold
A shaft of light pierces through
A shining star appears in northern lights
I staggered over, because it drew
It drew me through these bitter nights
Light came through and grass grew
Spring appeared with joy and victory
The skies turned crystal clear blue
I never thought this could be
I had not done it all alone
There was hope and strength given
Did not have to sigh or grown
For God had me forgiven
I stood with the strength He gave
I was through this bitter winter
Because Jesus rose up from the grave
Now hope has come and will enter

Mary had a little lamb,
His fleece was white as snow
And everywhere that Mary went
The Lamb was sure to go.
He followed her to school one day,
When it wasn't against the rules.
It made the children laugh and play,
To have The Lamb at school.
Then the rules, they changed one day,
And against the law it became,
To bring the Lamb of God to school
Or even speak His name.
Everyday it got worse and worse
And the days turned into years.
Instead of hearing children laugh and pray
You heard them crying tears!
What must we do to stop this crime,
That's in our schools today ...
Let the Lamb of God come back to school
And teach our kids to pray!

I slept, and then I had a dream
That I had died and passed away
When Jesus came to hold my hand
I told him "Back off, dude! You're gay!"
