Have you had frequent nosebleeds? I am a registered nurse, my brother had frequent nosebleeds and I directed him to get his platelett count checked (bloodwork at a dr's office) It turned out he had a very serious disease called ITP (immune thrombocytopenia purpura) Basically this is that he had such a low platelett count (the clotting agent in your bloodstream) that he was bleeding and the body could not clot it up. We also noticed he had small purple dots on his body like teeny tiny bruises. To correct this problem they put him on a medicine called prednisone, when this didnt work, they gave him chemo-related IV medicine called Rituxan. After that didnt work they surgically removed his spleen and it solved the problem. It turned out the spleen (which cleans the blood by destructing old plateletts) was overeating the good plateletts. Now he is healthy. He is 27 years old. Now I dont mean to scare you with all this, but just getting your platelett count checked to be on the safe side is good. At least you will probably rule out the worst condition you could have associated with your symptom.

Go to the ER or doctor immediately... Do not wait. Severe clotted bleeding may be nothing, but it could also be the start of an aneurysm or embalism.

You might be having a problem with your clotting factors. See a doctor. Your blood might not have enough platelets to clot properly. Good luck.

Theres no problem, its perfectly normal for it to come out in clumps.

Why on earth were you trying to hang yourself with a noose around your neck causing all that bleeding................. you could have given yourself a nose bleed...............
