Have you been to an ENT specialist? Checking it out won't hurt anyone. However tinnitus unfortunately has no cure till now but there are ways and means that you can learn to deal with it better. Some people find that leaving the radio or soft music on at night helps distract them from the ringing. There are also tinnitus maskers and certain relaxation techniques that may help. Some people even find that anti-depressants have a good effect. I'm sure your doctor can brief you more on the options available and which are best for you

You should read Thomas Coleman's book "Tinnitus Miracle" ( also available in electronic format here: http://www.tinnituscureforever.com ). Almost everyone who has used Tinnitus Miracle has reported success in treatment.

Some people use drugs and get surgeries done to get rid of the annoying constant ringing in their ears. But these are only temporary solutions to a grave problem, which needs to be eradicated from the very root of it. The disease has a number of root causes, but only when each has been dealt with the disease gets fully cured. Otherwise, it keeps reappearing. Drugs and herbal medicines can cure only the root causes, which is why they cannot be completely relied upon.

I have it too, and was told acupuncture works for some people. I tried it, but it wasn't successful. As far as a cure, I haven't ever found one, and have been told by a few doctors there isn't one. Sorry. I know what a cummy thing it is. I have resorted to falling asleep with my tv or headphones on to mask the noise.

I don't mean to be rude but you need to see a psychiatrist for your ears ringing, seriously.
