Jesus is the Son of God, sent as a living sacrifice for you and me so that we may once more enjoy the closeness and intimacy with God.
He is the first and the last, the beginning and the ending, the alpha and omega.
He was and is and is to come.
He is the Messiah who came 2000 years ago and will be coming again soon.
He is your only way to Salvation and away from the fires of Hell.

I think Jesus was a man who came up with some new ideas and was probably very charismatic. I think that people added a heck of a lot to his story both when he was alive and kept on adding after he was dead...right up to today.

Jesus is a man who lived about 2000 years ago. He helped many people and was horribly and wrongly prosecuted. He was not an avatar or son of god though and he did not absolve my sins.
