It really doesn't matter what toothbrush company you use. A good toothbrush has SOFT bristles, The head of the toothbrush should be no more than 1.5 cm long . And the electric brushes with the round heads seem to produce the best results. The way to brush is important too, like place the toothbrush beside your teeth at a 45-degree angle. According to some of my patients, they do like the new oral-b triumph toothbrush. Oh, select products that display the American Dental Association's Seal of Acceptance. Hope that helps.

I know that it can actually be difficult to FIND a soft toothbrush in the general market, so I am glad that you know enough and care enough to even try. Oral B is a good brand and so is Crest Compete. There are others, I'm sure, but at least I know that these companies still put their soft bristle brushes out there for the general public to buy. You may have more luck finding "soft" in a pharmacy than a supermarket.

Always use a SOFT bristle toothbrush. Anything harder than that can cause abrasion of the tooth, especially at the root surface. You don't have to brush harder to be effective. It matters more the angle of the bristles. 45 degrees is best. Also I really like the Sonicare toothbrush (any of the models). They tend to show the greatest results in my patients.

The cheap one from Asda. It's a soft bristle toothbrush at the and of the day. There's no real science behind it. Don't be fooled by the advertisers.

My dentist gives me a soft toothbrush from Oral B after each cleaning. I prefer to purchase them. I am sure there are others out there that are about the same.

Dont worry about the brand make sure you get medium bristles (not too soft) and that the end is raised to reach everywhere. Also get a bigger surface, not a small or round one
