I am looking for a head gear for my dog whom went blind about a month ago. I dont want him to keep bumping into things and then one day hurt his head. I am teaching him not to bump inot things but in the mean time does anyone know of a website I can go to look for headgears for small dog. I have a maltese and he is diabetic that is the reason why he went blind. But I am afraid of leaving him alone without any protection from his head. I have a blind dog also and have not found anything.
Mine is a larger dog and we modified a horse head protector for him but the best thing was to teach him Whoa. When you tell him whoa now he stops and waits to trun a different direction.
My dog has been blind for about 4 yeras now.
He still hunts some even blind and does very well.
