Well that's up to you. It is a prime time for Atlantic hurricanes.
My family and I were there last year, in October. We stayed at the animal kingdom lodge resort. It was very cool, until hurricane Wilma came through. Although Orlando is in the middle of the state, at that level the state isn't that wide.
Wilma caused some of panic. Nothing like Rita or Katrina, but still put a hamper on your fun for a day and a half. Disney is however not one to lose its reputation. They have a very good system in place in the event of a hurricane. If you do go, make sure that you watch the Disney TV channel in the morning before you head into the park. they give you all the details you could need. Overall we had a good time, even with the hurricane. Not trying to scare you, there were plenty of places to ride the storm out in Disney, they have a good system. I wasn't scared but the wife and kids were. I have a little bit of storm chaser in me lol, i was out of the 5th floor balcony watching the weirds clouds and a ton of rain from all directions, it was cool. If you go just be aware that there is a possibility, is all I'm saying.
Yes, the pros were it wasnt as hot, it was actually perfect during the day and a lil chilly at night. Not at all cold tho. And half as many people were there than usual. They did the not so scary halloween parties and parades, it was a good time.
Take Care,
And Congratulations

No not at all! October is actually one of the best months to visit Disneyworld! The weather is a bit cooler (but still plenty warm enough to go swimming and enjoy the beach), and the crowds are low because most kids are back in school.
Be sure you purchase the matching minnie and mickey bride and groom hats at the hat shop on Main Street (Magic Kingdom). You'll have special attention all day long. My husband and I honeymooned there as well. We used to work there and we had a blast!
If you two would like any help planning or researching for your honeymoon vacation... or if you would like to read up on some fun tips and advice from two cast members (updated monthly), then check out my Disney Vacation Services Website, I'm All Ears at:

Have a great time and congratulations!

Absolutely not. It would be the perfect time! And it's the perfect place for a honeymoon! (I love going there with my boyfriend, we just got back from our latest Disney vacation two weeks ago. We plan on getting married there.) The first reason to go in October is the new celebration! Disney's Happiest Celebration on Earth is coming to an end, but on October 1st, Disney's Year of a Million Dreams Celebration begins! There's going to be all kinds of special things going on and new attractions ready to be unveiled. Also, it should be a good time weather-wise. It won't be too hot, so you'll be able to enjoy your vacation in the open parks, and it most likely won't be too crowded. I've gone at the beginning of November, and it was awesome. The temperature was so comfortable. I was only 11 then, and I don't remember the lines being too long (being that young, it's easy to get impartient with ride wait times, but it wasn't bad at all.)
You two are going to have a fantastic time as it is, and especially since it's such a special occasion! The Disney Company's awesome about stuff like that. If it's a special occasion, they'll upgrade you to Concierge, send you gift baskets every night, and all kinds of stuff. And you guys can get the Mickey groom ears and Mickey bride ears to wear around the parks. lol I bought a pair of the bride ears even though I'm not married, or anything. They're just so pretty! I love them and wear them around the house now to put me in a good mood. Anyway...
Have fun! And congratulations on your marriage!!!

It will be beautiful... You have to purchase the Wedding Mouse ears to wear while you are honeymooning!! I see newlyweds wearing them all the time. There's a top hat and a veil with Mickey ears. My fiance and I are going to purchase them. We're going to the park the day after our wedding with family... the wedding mouse ears are a must buy (and wear)!! We're getting married in November. We chose November because it is cooler, much cooler.
P.S. Hurricane season IS in full effect, starts June 1 ends Nov 30.. it is hit or miss!

as quickly as I went I stayed interior the 'All celebrity' Disney motel, the place you could chosen which themed section you reside in (activities, video clips or song). each and every section has a motel pool and it particularly is a large determination for an extremely Disney-fied trip. They run coaches regularly to all the subject parks, have a nutrition hall and present shops etc. you may understand, in spite of the shown fact that, that many households stay there and so it could't be the suitable determination of you're finding for something somewhat extra intimate.

I worked in Florida for some years, and October is a great time to be there.
The hurricane season doesn't actually start until November officially, but of course no-one told that to the hurricanes!! You should be fine.
In any event, it is the coastal areas which are more at risk.
Try to visit the Everglades if you can - it is a great contrast to The Rodent Kingdom!!

We went at thanksgiving time and it was a perfect temperature and not as busy either. October should be good because all the kids are back in school and the temps are coller than the summer. enjoy and congratulations.

No, I went several years ago in October, during the middle of the week, and it was great! There were fewer lines/crowds.
Congratulations, and enjoy! :~)

I would think that would be a GREAT time! Not as hot and not nearly as crowded now that kids are back in school.
