According to most major religions, it is ok to kill others who don't have the one, true God that you have. Such killing is particularly authorized if part of a formal war against infidels.
But this military God who accepts slaughter hates atheism. This is an angry, jealous, petulent God, after all.

WHAT IS WORSE?
1) Being and Atheist? - The scripture label those people who does not believe in God is a FOOL! "The fool said in his heart, there is no God" psalm 14:1a
Pr 12:15a "The way of a fool is right in his own eyes:"
Pr 18:2 A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.
Pr 18:6 A fool‘s lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes.
Pr 18:7 A fool‘s mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.
Pr 19:1 Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool.
The quoted scripture above is from the king james version. So the fool is already been judge.
2) Killing people in the name of God? - This is heresy and blasphemy, The name of God is being used for murders? Did God order the killing of people in his name? nonsense. God said the book of Genesis "Kill those who murder." This is one of the 7 command God had given to Adam after they were sent out from the paradise because of sin
Both have its own gravity, only God can judge them..

This is too easy. Christians will kill in the name of God (the "thy shalt not kill" has an except written after it, "except Christians who can do anything so long as they say it is in the name of God). And, Christians have no problem killing atheists, gays, or anyone else who disagrees with them...falls under that "except" thing. All I can say is , it was VERY convenient that Moses destroyed the ONLY proof that there might be a God when he smashed the tablets....go figure! I did, at age 7, and have not been a victim of organized religion since. IF a 7 year old can figure it out, I am amazed at the stupidity of 'grown ups." Oh, and Santa never added up to me either. AS for the Easter Bunny, well..you get my drift.

That is easy. KIlling people in the name of God. You must remember that not killing is one of the Ten Commandments...Thou shall not kill. If they are killing in the name of God, then they know God's law. So, they are breaking the law He has given them.
Now an atheist is considered ignorant of God's laws and doctrine, so in a way the atheist isn't sinning in God's eye. I hope that helps you understand.

In both situations it is striking an imbalance, being an atheist you are not a believer of the divine creator, and killing people in the name of god is like commiting murder.

Oh I love your questions.
Saul/Paul the apostle who wrote about 80% of the new testament was recruited by God after he murdered and in prisoned many Christians in the name of God.
Check this out.
But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:
OK so that is what God thought of one person who killed people in the name of God.
I don't think God believes in Atheist.
I know I don't.
God Bless ya.

i personally think that turning your back on God and not claiming Him at all would be worse. So I would have to say being Athiest. It would have been a harder question if you'd asked which is worse--self murder or being Athiest? At least you respect Him enough to capitalize His name. Thank you for that.

You should have simply asked which is worse and left out the reference to the disembodied eyes of some deity if you really wanted any atheists to answer this.
