Kittens eat a little and often......just think how tiny her stomach is! If she seems fine and her bowel movements are fine, my guess is that she is fine.

I have been a cat breeder, and heard all the stories from all the new families. first of all I do not sell kittens. or give. unless the kittens are eating solid food and wiegh a certain amount and stools are good. I tell everyone. if you ever get a new pet. The first thing you want to do is have the vet check it for woming and other possible dissorders. a gi veaway can cost you a lot more than a paid kitten. in health bills. I am not talking snobbish. i love all cats.and kittens.
The milk you are giving her is fine. if she likes it. and her stools. which is the best way to tell. are ok. then slowly mix in a little bit of wet food.and then a little dry. until she is getting more kitten food then baby kitten food.
good Luck. I can tell. she is getting lots of Love and that sure counts alot.

They dont eat a whole pouch at once! She only has a titchy stomach.
Speak to your vet. I am sure she is fine. Try not to force her to eat, or you will end up with a fatty.
She is not too young for kitten food. Whiskers does seem to be the preferred kitten food, but she might like felix in a few weeks. They adore the Chicken & Turkey individual tray ones. My shop is always sold out of that flavour!

You're right to be worried. A kitten should eat a lot )not all at once, but often) and lack of appetite could be symptomatic of illness. In a baby kitten any illness can be serious. Also, inadequate food intake in a cat can lead to fatal liver trouble (hepatic lipidosis.)
Please don't give kitty dry food! She might develop a taste for it and that wouldn't be good! Dry food can lead to some serious health problems over the years, like urinary tract obstructions and kidney failure. Read this to learn more:

I would say if youare really worry and the cat is still not eating take her to the vet but if anything she might be missing her old home. You see I got a dog when he was small to and the person that gave me the dog told me he would eat the food that she brought over to me. And my dog would not eat for a week I took my dog to the vet and he said everything was fine he might just be missing his old home. Wait maybe a couple of more days if your cat is still not eating then take your cat to the vet. I bet anything your cat is missing the mom or the other home. But see if your cat will take the milk if your catr does then maybe it was to early to give the cat to you. Good luck with your cat

Leave both types of food available for her and see if she has a preference. I agree with another person who said they eat little and often, like all small offspring. As long as her bowel movements are fine and she isn't showing discomfort, pain or tense swollen tummy she's possibly still a bit disoriented from her recent change in environment. Your local vet should help you out if the situation doesn't sort itself out in a couple of days. Enjoy your bundle of fun :)

How is the rest of her appearance? If her eyes are dull and her her fur isn't shiny than she might be sick. I had a kitten once like that I took her to a vet and she had a bad cold, she couldn't smell the food so she wouldn't eat it. I would go to the vet. They can answer all your questions to rule out anything else.

Does she drink the kitten milk ok? She's old enough for dry food. Try mixing a small amount of dry food with a small amount of milk. See if that works. If it does, you can slowly wean her off the kitten milk. Watch her for weight loss, change in bm's.

she is just small....feed her a little bit 4 or more times a day. as she grows older, cut down the number of meals and increase their size.
she will also probably not have all her teeth yet, so try feeding her some tuna, or bread soaked in milk.
i had a similar problem with my cat, but once he got the taste for fish and milky bread there was nothing he wouldnt eat!

Yes put the kitten milk down also.
If she is still going to the toilet ok and seems lively then she should be fine.
Has she been DE-flead and wormed this can affect behaviour too.
Also dried food is better for them,( whiskas dried kitten) just add warm water to make it soft, until they can manage hard dry food.
