That'll be what happens when you give a monkey a typewriter and tell him to write a novel!

I will try to answer your question by an example:
Suppose you are walking with your friends when you witness an accident: A car hit a man and he dies.
Some year later you and your friends have to write this story in detail.
You may say: He did not see the car and was knocked over by the car and died on the moment.
One friend might say: He was hit by the car and I saw him lying on the road and he moved his head and died just after.
Another friend: It's clear this guy was suicidal, I saw him looking at the car and he jumped over.
Another one might say: I'm sure he was broke and wanted to get some insurance.

What is the true facts of the story?
Human interpret things in different ways and if you stop to details when it comes to a narration you will miss the important point the story wants to convey. In my example above the man was hit by a car and died.

You know the famous story about the chicken who crossed the road, and the different interpretation of why the chicken crossed the road.

Bear in mind that the books were written many years after and that they tried to convey the story in details.
Note that they all meet each other in the message they convey.

Try also this:tell a story to someone in detail and then tell him to relate to two more persons who will come back to you, you will see how many details have changed.

Hope that his will help you.

I'll take a stab at 76.:
Christ was crucified at the third hour
Mark 15:25
Christ was not crucified until the sixth hour
John 19:14,15

John, because he was writing from Ephesus, used the numbering system of the Roman civil day, which began right after midnight. Mark was following the hour numbering practice used by the Jews in Palestine at that time, in which the day begins at sunrise.

The Bible is the inerrant, infallible Word of God. What appears to be contradictions on the surface are not if the statement is taken in the whole context. Certain facts are brought out by the different writers to make different points.

Let me give you an example you can understand. A friend of yours goes to a big fire. He says that the fire company had their new fire truck there, and he describes all the new equipment on it. Another one of your friends goes there, and says that there were six fire trucks. Who's lying. One says there's a new truck there, and the other says there's six. Obviously, they're both telling you the truth, but from different perspectives. That's what the Bible does, it tells you a story, but from different perspectives.

Would you want all four Gospels to be carbon copies of each other?

You have another friend who went to a fire and says there were only two trucks there. Is he lying? No. He went to a different fire.

Before you can say that different verses in the Bible are contradicting one another, you need to look at the surrounding verses, and put it into context.

The bible is not perfect. It was written by man and man has flaws. The actual word of God is not conflicting. Don't focus on the man parts of the bible where john saw this and matthew did this. Focus on what Jesus said and what God did. I'm catholic and we teach that man has great flaws even the saints but GHod has none. If I said the car crashed right into a man and someone else says the man ran into the car. It can look two different ways to two or three different people. but the bottom line is someone got hit by a car. That is how the bible is. Asalaam alaykum(peace be upon you.)

Those are all examples of the authenticity of the gospels. It's like if you had four people who witnessed a sports game and they all gave slightly different accounts of what happened on the field. Each of those seemingly contradictory passages can be explained but frankly I'm not going to take the time to do if for you right now because I've got to get ready to go pick up some people from the Veterans hospital and bring them to church. The Bible is not the word of God, it is the copy of the original one written by the aposlte and prophets of God. The Bible can be subjected to vandalism by those who hates the Bible.

I cannot answer you directly from the scripture you have qouted, To tell you frankly, some bible are poorly translated from the original (Ex: "wrestle" is translated "fighting"). The latest version of the Bible is somewhat having a poor translations.

Please get the version of the Bible from where you have taken this passages. then we compare it with the original one. Greek and aramaic version of the septuagint.

Ever since, the Bible is under attacked by those who are the enemy of Truth. If they cannot get rid of Jesus, corrupt the bible, so much so that, they have a point to discredit Jesus.

I will print your question, and I will study it, and have it posted here, if you care to ask this question again.

Thank you.

First of all Jesus spoke Armenian. Four different Evangelists, with their individual perspectives, wrote scripture in Greek. Then it was translated into Latin, German, Queen's English (which is rather poetic), then into every other language. Doubters of the Bible like to point to literary inconsistencies as a basis for doubt. However, if one looks at the essence and the deeper meaning of each of the statements above one can see the consistency between the different iterations. The point of any holy book is not what's in the ink as much as how it affects our hearts.

You sound like a Muslim trying to discredit the word of God:
However, you are really proving the truthfulness of Scripture because you fulfill these by identifying yourself with the heathen false teachers.

" Now the Spirit speaks expressly that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils, speaking lies in hypocrisy..."(1Tim.4:1)

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false prophets among you, who shall privately bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, bring swift destruction upon themselves". (2 Peter 2:1),

"Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is anti-Christ, that denies the Father and the Son. He that denies the Son, the same has not the Father." (I John 2:22)

Those books in the new testament are of the personal accounts of some of the apostles as how they saw things. The new testament does not flow like a linear story.

It starts as accounts of how Luke saw it, then Matthew, then John, etc etc. Considering they are all different people, writing it at different times in their life, it's not expected for it to be written perfectly.

The Bible is supposed to be the word of God interpreted by man. God didn't write the bible himself, and man is naturally prone to err. That's just how humanity is.

Because the Bible is a collection of mythology written by a band of goat-herders taking wild guesses at how the world operated.
