If Jane said it, she would be lying because Melissa would say she was Jane and since Jane never lies, it must have been Melissa's statement.
If Melissa said it, she would also be lying (and therefore true to form) because Jane would not say it.
Ask the question of each one: "What is your name?" and the answer will always be "Jane." If someone says that the answer would be "Melissa.", then they must be lying, so only Melissa could have said it.
Edit: I was very tempted to rename myself to Melissa in order to answer this question, hehe.
