Use Aussie heat protectant, and leave in coditoner combo. I'm black, and I have naturally curly hair, and I use a curl wax to straighten in additon to the Aussie product, I only use a little bit for each section or hair will be real greasy.

Seriously! Dont put anything on your hair until AFTER you have straightened it because if you do this the heat of the iron will burn the product...along with your hair!
Your hair needs to be 100% dry before straightneing & only once its finished can you apply some frizz ease.
Frizz ease is really only effective when used in small amounts only on the ends of your hair. Otherwise it will just make your hair oily. Have you tried using a leave in moisturiser also? I use Panteen leave in moisturiser & Loriel frizz ease. Once a week I also give my hair an at home treatment from avon. If you use hairspary once your hair has been straightened, this can also help combat those nasty fizzys on the top of your head!
Good luck & trust me that I know what Im talking about!
One more thing, try not to use the iron to often as your hair will become brittle, dry & lifeless.

Generally if you get a defrizzing lotion/serum it will help tremendously. It is silicone based, so you do not need to use a lot. Frizz-Ease makes one that you can buy, Pantene makes one, & it is a clear solution. Also be sure to condition your hair really well, because excessive heat and styling tools can cause the hair to break. If you are using a flat iron, Loreal makes a product specifically to use to help keep the hair conditioned, I cannot remember the name but it is in a pink bottle. Go to WalMart or if you have a Sally's Beauty Supply, ask what their reccommendations would be as well. Good luck!!!! Be patient too, depending on how curly your hair is naturally it may take a little bit of time to get it straight.

What I do on mine since I have straighten it a few times and keep dying it all the time (I too have natural curly hair) I put a conditioner (your choice)on it, a lot of conditioner(1/2cup or more) work it in really good and massage the scalp, put a cap on my hair, sleep in it all night and the next morning I rinse it out. I do this twice a week until my hair starts looking shiny and health again. It sure does help mine out a lot. The frizz is from being too dried out and the conditioner puts the moisture back in that was taken out during the process of dying and/or straighting.I also use hot oil treatments from time to time and I also leave them over night as well. It does not hurt the hair to leave them in over night.Massaging the scalp promotes healthy hair growth as well.

well, my hair is naturally curly as well...whether you're straightening with an iron or with chemicals...you'll want to use some serum...but as an extra...use a dab of olive oil and work it through at least the tips of your hair or bad frizz areas ( you only need about a dime size to work through your hair) then spray real lightly with hairspray once it is styled for the day

I use a ceramic straightener and I seperate each layer starting with the lowest. After I straighten a layer, a spray my brush with hairspray and brush to keep down frizz. After I do this on my whole head, I use an anti-frizz serum )fructis or john frieda works best) on the top layers to keep flyaways down. Hope this helped.
