The one you should really be asking is your vet but assuming it would be similar to a baby on formula then yes, the bowel movement would be yellowish and soft. Try changing formulas to see if it improves (within a day) Do not give them regular milk, they are too young to digest it.

Make sure you are using the correct formula, and mixing it the correct way. Make sure they are on a regular feeding schedule, and don't let them over eat. Formula has a different affect on babies over mothers natural milk, but in this situation you have no choice. Check to see if the puppies are gaining wieght, and check for normal developemnt. Make sure they are staying warm, and that they are getting enough sleep, and enogh to eat. Keep their area clean, don't handle them too much but handle them enough to where they learn your touch and they get used to you. If the problem does not get better in a couple of days call your local vet and ask him for advice, if that advice does not help take the pups into the vet and see what can be done. I wish you luck! 6 pups, that's a lot of work! I hope they all survive and get fat and healthy.

First, I am So sorry to hear that you lost YOUR dog, that is very sad -
I found this web site that has lots of info about caring for orphaned pups. I hope it helps. If I were you, I would call the vet and or reach out to a local aspca group for help. You won't be getting much sleep taking care of 6 babies !!
Good Luck, take care of her babies in her memory.

So sorry to hear about your female. I am sure that since you took her to the vet he put you on right track about formula. You need t bee feeding around the clock every 3 hours, take a wet paper towel and massage their tummy so they will eliminate. This makes them feel like mom is licking them. Good luck with your 6 puppies. Hope there is one that reminds you of your female pit.

Feed them esbilac (puppy milk) with a little nutrical.

Be sure to stimulate them with a cotton ball. They go pee by mom licking them. Just wipe them with a few cotton balls and they will go.

Keep them warm and dry they should be ok. Speak to the vet about shots as they will have no protection from moms milk. So they will need to begin vaccinations when they are about 6 weeks old. Maybe younger depending on your vet.

I hope you have alot of friends that will help you. It is very hard just raising one puppy, 6 will be alot of work. You need to feed them the milk replacer every 3 hours around the clock. Untill they are 4 weeks old.

The poops will look funny now but no worrys as that is what they should look like now. Also you are going to need stimulate them too go potty.

Feed them with a bottle. a dog bottle. buy them baby formula, or baby oatmeal. the oatmeal should nourish them. try mixing it with canned pup chow later. my cat had kittens before, and she got a nipple fever. she turned real thin. i got to save her life twice now. we bottle fed the kitties with eyedroppers. but it was too late, they caught the disease. we didnt know and it was too late when they showed symptoms. it was so sad. on the last one, we used meds and they only lasted an amount of time. but also, get a heating pad when you're not around. put it in a dog cage, and use it as their house, then theyll learn territorial instinct too. they should start bowl-drinking in a few weeks. DO NOT DO MILK!! IT COULD CAUSE STOMACH PAIN!! hope they do well.

What a sad story, the vets have the best milk for them, every 2 hours you feed them, I had to do it with rabbits you won't want to give any of them away you'll grow fond of them all.

Ask your vet if he or she knows of anyone whose mother dog is still nursing these pups need to be nursing they need the protein, vitamins that their mother would have given them.

Your vet will guide you as what to do.
