The strange part started about 4days after she had been here.I was in bed with a migrain head ake and this cat Lays behind my neck and starts pawing and Noosling the back of my head,up under my hair. She did this for about an HOUR! And it really helped! I dont know Y she is doing it tho.Ever since then She likes to do that.More so when I have a head ake.WHY? Is this strange? She dont do this to NE one eles.I even changed shampoos just to see if thats what it was.She still dose it.Dose NE one have a clue Y?

She loves you! When kittens are drinking from mom they knead with their paws when they are nuzzling (and they purr). It helps to stimulate milk production. When they grow up they keep doing it to they people they love. Maybe they see us as big cats. My cats lay on me and do it. I just wish their nails didn't hurt so much.
The kneading probably helped relax the muscles which helped with your headache. Sometimes animals can sense just what we need.

When I have a migrain (a problem I have has since I was 7 yrs old) my cat for some reason knows this. He will lay close enough to touch me with his paw, (o my cheek or my arm) or lay next to me. But doesn't move around or get on and off the bed, as to know that I am in pain. It almost feels as if he knows what is going on and is trying to protect me from any more pain.

She sounds like a sweet cat. There are cats who can tell someone is going to have an epileptic fit, there are dogs who are trained to smell cancer cells on a persons body; anything is possible with animals.

p.s. Petsmart was very good to my cat, there vet's and staff are really professional.

What is a head ake? Do you mean headache? If so...go to the doctor and get an MRI. Make sure you don't have a physical condition, animals can sense problems before people.

Animals, dogs and cats mostly but I have found that it is especially cats, can pick up and rwact to your emotions. I was really not having a good day and was in my bed crying and Diego came and pushed his head all over me, purring. He hardly ever does this.

She kneads because she's accepted you as her mom and she loves you.

Why she kneads your head when you have a headache is more of a mystery. Maybe she somehow knows that you have a headache. I can't imagine how she'd know, but some cats are amazingly perceptive...

God has sent you an angel cat :)... you are blessed... Seriously, cats and dogs do sense when their human mama or papa is sick, depressed or in pain (mine do) and they do what they can to comfort you. One way they transmit comfort and sympathy and yes - healing - is by nuzzling, kneeding, purring and licking. They're just magical creatures, God love 'em!

Are you sure the Cat isn't the reason for the headaches.
