Hmmm... 1st of all, congratulations on you wanting to abstinate from sex... Its takes a lot of will power!!! But I am sure you can do that!!!

I am a gal in the early 20s, had a bf and still a virgin... I know a lot of pple may not believe it but the heck with them.. I am just lucky that I had a bf who respected me and my body and he also believes the same belief that sex should be done after marriage... And no I do not believe in the same faith as you....

So if you are scared abt what gals might think of you being married... So wear another ring on your right ring finger and pple will just think taht you are accessorizing yrself...

And believe in yrself that no matter what happens, at the end of the day, if your God wants you to meet your fated girl, you will eventually meet the girl with or without the ring.... Life works in a funny way... :) Gd luck!!!

I don't think it matters which finger you wear it on. It is a promis ring. And I am sure God isn't so dogmatic that what fingers it needs to be on. People wear rings on all fingers.

I applaud you for making this commitment. It is a wise decision.
Or wear the ring around your neck with a chain.

This ring thing is a good idea, but it isn't something God calls us to do in the bible. It is a trend in religion. If you start over thinking all of this, the good of the ring will become a thorn in your side.
Be confident in your own decisions.

Well if this makes you feel better, most wedding rings are *gold* and your ring thing is *silver*. Quite a difference there. And look at it this way it'll help you determine which girls are into you. The ones that are will ask "What's with the ring?" or something in that nature. Just a thought.

Hey relax. I also wear a ring on my left ring finger and i'm a christian too and i don't believe in premarital sex either but guys don't just suspect i'm married. Well maybe thats also cause i'm only 16 this year. But still girls will ask you not just assume all the time.

I have never heard of this ring thing. Ask them about different options for your situation. Can u put the ring on a different finger? If u come across a female you are interested in explain the situation to her and hopefully she is understanding. Godd luck

If you are going to do something that represents your beliefs, you are going to come across people who are going to find issues with it. I don't think that to many people are really going to think you are married because of your age, but as you get older it could create questions...... Wear your ring with pride because you have made a promise to yourself and if people ask just tell them why you were it... You made a promise and that ring is a reminder of that promise..

Good luck ...

Just to avoid confusion, why not wear it on your right hand instead? I know it means something to you and you don't want to take it off completely, but what you've learned is in your heart and only symbolized by the ring. While this may be important to you, it's confusing if worn on the left hand.

Go find a girls ring, what the....you should go ask your parents what they did to you, you are very confused. Chill dude, get away from flower arranging, never get married, you will have children from horror movies. I hope this is all a sick joke. Are you a product of Theological brainwashing? What will you do to your wife when she admits her fantasies? Why not phone me, we could make a cult movie.

Its your own choice. Your own happiness. If you want to be pious, go ahead and do it. Don't bother what everyone else says.
If you think girls are not talking to you anymore, why put that ring on?
Have rationale in what you do. Think before you do something. Its your choice. Why ask this question? It's your own solitary decision to whether follow Jesus or get girls to spot you.

Two suggestions:
1) Wear it on your right ring finger - you are still wearing it and still have your commitment.
2) Wear it on a chain around your neck where it hangs by your heart. You are still wearing it and it is in a special place to remind you every time you move.
