What do you pray for???

as Jesus said God knows your needs before you do whats the point of praying, other than the lords prayer, or just talking to god as a friend...

The Lord's prayer was given to us as an example of how to pray, it was never meant to be recited over and over again. Jesus condemned the Pharisees for doing exactly that. When you pray, it shouldn't be some scripted pray that you say without even thinking about it. Talk to God like you would talk to a friend.

True, God knows our hearts, but it's the prayers He answers.

Well I am a Born-Again-Christian and know that the main thing in life is to put your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will know the Truth about life and Eternal Life in Heaven with our Saviour. We need to pray because the devil wants to destroy you and we need constant strength from God. It is also a way of having a new and personal relationship with our Heavenly Father.

Also did you know that anyone can pray, but they can't fool God, You have to be honest and sincere and the only way you will know that, is if you experience a personal relationship with Jesus. There are many false prophets out there, so you have to be on guard at all times. We fight against the powers of darkness. Also we are not skilled to understand what God has willed what God has planned, we only know that at His right hand is Jesus Christ our Saviour.

I mean the greatest Scientific mind in the world can't explain how....A Black cow, that eats Green grass, which produces White milk, which makes Yellow butter........!

I 'pray' that people around the world STOP PRAYING and instead use that energy to change the physical world for the better beyond their own two ears!

I always see people saying that they have to believe in God, because if they don't and he does exist they're done.

If God doesn't exist and people keep praying for him to fix the world, the world is done! We see the world falling apart as a result of this every single, G-damn day. When will the religious madness end and the good life begin???

before i go to sleep, i always pray. i pray for a new and fruitful day. i pray for my guardian angel to always be with me. i pray for world peace. i always tell stories to god. i always tell him what happened in to me in school and other stuff, eventhough i know that he knows what happened to me, i always tell stories to him. prayer is a way for us to talk to god. it has no charge of any kind all we need is faith and an open heart. prayer is very helpful for me. when i'm very sad, upset or angry, i pray. i just tell God what's my problem and then the tears from my eyes stop falling and i feel very relieved. so yeah, prayer is very important to me.

I don't pray at all, I used to pray when I was a kid since I have a Catholic Family, but I have lost my faith in god, in fact I don't think god exist.

I pray to God to talk to him as a friend. I thank him for waking up every morning, for the sun and the rain, for the birds that sing. I thank him for the shelter over my head, my family and my firends. I thank him for a job that I can go to everyday. I thank him that I am healthy. I also thank him for loving me the way I am in spite of all my flaws.
