If by Baked Beans you refer to navy beans bought in tins at the supermarket well not so hot.
Check ingredients as the sauce is way too salty and contains too much sugar.
They are marketed as healthy but you could eat beans/legumes in countless other dishes.
not to disregard entirely I would feed to my child ahead of a commercial burger/chips/drink/toy etc

Good for you and tasty. But, even better are home cooked boiled beans, then you can bake them yourself the next day. You can live on nothing but beans for years and be fairly healthy.

There are few foods that have no nutritional value. It isn't what you eat but how much of it that you eat. Baked beans contain sugar but are high in fibre and an excellent source of carbohydrates therefore they are good as part of sensible diet.

Beans are fiber....baked beans have a high sugar content, so I do not know that they are really considered as good for you as others.

They aren't a miracle food, but yes, they are healthy. They have lots of fiber, so they are very good for the digestive system and can have a lowering effect on bad cholesterol.
