My hypothetical answer to your hypothetical question would have to be...probably no, I would be deeply concerned about the consequences of a marriage of this sort for my daughter and we'd need to talk it through very carefully. Yes I'd probably feel the same about any guy, a Baptist minister, an ex or current Hell's Angel, a plumber or an atheist or a shelf-stacking buddhist ...whatever!

I wouldn't try to put a stop to it unless I had very good reason however, sometimes the reality of things is different to the way we imagine they might be, having a relativistic outlook and not an absolutist one I might be able to accommodate the idea...

I would probably be suspicious of his motives with my relative/kid until I had gotten to know him better and knew that he was a decent fellow, the same as I would if she were dating a white guy, a black guy, or a pacific islander, etc. People are people.

It would be fine with me. I'd prefer they marry in the Jewish faith, but, I'd take a Muslim any day over a Christian. Sometimes we have no choice in this matter.

Most muslims are not terrorists. If my daughter loved the guy & he loved her and they both respected each other's freedoms, then I'd say go for it.'

Why would I care what religion the guy is? Why would I care if he was muslim anymore than I would care if he were baptist, jewish, mormon, or buddhist? I have absolutely no care in the world what religion a guy is, so long as he made my daughter happy.

It wouldn't bother me in the least. People are not labels and just because one is muslim doesn't mean they are a bad person. I myself have dated muslim men before.

I am not sold on the whole Muslim deal here. But, if I had an unmarried daughter, who was ugly, one that I was in danger of having to support for the rest of my life, I would consider it. But then again, I would consider her marrying you in that case.

May be the above are saying right. But did you know that muslims are allowed to keep 4 wives, can be in different countries. Just give it a thought.
