Why are most people so afraid of their mortality that they need to try to fool themselves into believing in ridiculous stories about being eternal. How could you choose to believe in fairy tales. It is so silly. You poor people.

You are proposing a great rush of unemployed people...if idiots stop with all the rolling around in church, there will be a huge number of unpaid pastors who suck the congregation dry of money for their own use. You are speaking real heresy here! Let no man come between a pastor and his money...that is the 11th commandment. Where have you been?

Isn't wanting others to believe as YOU do, calling them silly and poor people PROOF that YOU need the crutch of people believing as you do instead of the way they do? Why are you so afraid of what anyone else believes that you have to question them about it? Are you that insecure about your own? How can the beliefs of people you will never meet have anything to do with you to cause you to want them to change their beliefs to suit yours? Why are you so afraid that you have to try to fool yourself into believing as you do? WHO is brainwashed here? Your glass is half empty, other peoples glass is half full - what does it matter? I choose to search for TRUTH and trust me that takes me out of the church and so called religion, but it never takes me to that arrogant place where I would ever NOT believe in God. Only MAN is arrogant enough to think he is all there is. (mankind, not men in general).

Most people have no faith. I mean that they only believe in themselves. To know that there is no end to ones existence doesn't mean that there is an eternal it just means that the form changes. It's comforting to think that we are here for a reason and to think that we aren't through when the body dies.

You have a very vague statement. Are you bashing Christian? Are you bashing Spiritualists? Or are you bashing ALL Religious people? If you are referring to Christians, I am a Christian, I do not need a crutch. I freely choose to have God as my Lord and Savior. Just like you choose to your own beliefs. I guess in your case the old saying holds true, Ignorance is Bliss.

Embracing a faith doesn't predominantly occur because people wish to feel a sense of security when death is impending. Rather, embracing a faith helps one to understand why and how life functions at this present moment. Many people find meaning and fulfillment throughout the course of their lives and are able to overcome challenges because they are bestowed with a deep sense of courage and inner strength beyond their own capacities.
