God hears everything we say to Him. If you feel like He hasn't answered you, maybe He wants to see how badly you want what you're asking for. Will you pray every day for a week? A month? A year?
Keep in mind, there are three possible answers. Yes, No or Wait. And, be careful what you pray for. You just might get it!

God is omni present. What that means is; God exists outside of time. He is everywhere all the time and can devote His entire attention to you at all times. He loves you and wants you to love Him. So He hears every thing you have to say to Him and knows every thought you have. But He is a gentleman and does not force you to love Him. He answers every prayer, but because He loves you, He doesn't always give the answer to prayers that you want.
We are often self destructive, so God considers your prayer and either says to you 'yes, your request is good for your eternal existence' or 'no, your request would be bad for you or your neighbor or society overall' or 'wait, you can't handle that gift right now or the time isn't right for you yet.
If you become sensitive to His presences and to His will, you will know the answers He gives because prayer is not just you making requests, it is about two way communication.

Yes, God hears prayers, But he won't give us something that is not beneficial to us, & God knows the very intent of your heart, As far as God having literal or Fleshly ears, NO, God is a Spirit, The Great Eternal Spirit. God is not Flesh.

Yes, God does hear our prayers. But what we pray for needs to be in accord with His will for us.

The best explanation I have heard:
God hears all of our prayers, but sometimes the answer is "No".
Pray that He gives you the patience to wait for what you want.
Pray that He helps you accept his decisions for you and those you love.

God hears AND answers all our prayers. but He answers them not in the exact way you want it, as God is not a robot or a dispensing machine. He gives you what you truly need, in His own time.
"in His time" does not make God whimsical or selfish. it simply means that He knows the right time to give you your heart's desires.
sometimes what we ask of God could be more harmful than helpful-- like if we ask God for a new car and God knows that it could alter something in your life to make you behave in a bad manner, He wont give it to you. but if what you're asking for would bring you something good, He gives it to you-- gladly.
God is not only a wise and smart God-- He is compassionate, too. He loves you and would never dream of giving you anything that would harm you. there's nothing wrong in asking, but there is a way to ask God that has worked for me: i tell Him what i want and in the next breath i say: Thy will be done my Lord-- NOT my will, but Thy will. if what i want would do me good, please let me have it. if it would bring me harm, in Your mercy, please dont give it to me.
that way, you rest in the knowledge that God does not, and would never ignore you. what you get is what is best for you.

I donno the verse, but somewhere between genesis and revelations, there is somethin that says that someone who hasn't truly accepted Jesus Christ as their personal lord and savior, their prayers are not heard.... Until you have accepted him into your life. from then on, God will listen and answer the prayers you pray to him. It might be a no, or a yes, or a "not right now", but He will answer them.
