it's a pump that works undewater...

Used to pump water out of something. I use one in my well to have cheap water for my garden.

If a pump isn't submerge pump, you'll need to keep it out of the water and pump the water through a hose. (input water comes from a hose who is in the water) With a submerge pump, you drop the pump in the water and it pumps the water directly (without the need of a hose for the input water)

Pump = To Pump a liquid or gas base that eventually the pump cannot be stored underwater.

Submersiblepump = The same as above, but it can store and operate below the water or any kind of liquid. Example of its function : in Sewerage Treatment Plant, in Fish Pond, in construction site.. etc

It's a pump which can go INTO liquid (water), but make sure whatever it's application, you check it out. I have a pump which is designed for gasoline without burning it up in smoke. Make sure if it's DC or AC operation?

A submersible pump is one that works even if surrounded by fluid. It's normal functions are either to drain fluid from a space or to pump fluid on a continual basis from a well.
