How do you know, if you've found 'the One'?

people say that if you've found the one, you just know it? but how?

Ah, this question. Most people think that you hear bells, and doves dly all around you, and that there is this perfect fairy tail thing that is supposed to tell you, HE/SHE is the ONE, but, for the majority of the sane people of this world, it's not. You just know. You feel comfortable around them and not like you have to do a whole lot to stand them. You guys go well together, your family and friends are happy with them, you fit. That's when you know that you have indeed found your soulmate.

It sort of hits you like a brick. Your thoughts about the future all revolve around him and how the two of you will work through it together. You miss him when he leaves and count the seconds until he returns. You rush home from work to wait for a phone call or IM from him. You spend all of your thoughts wondering what you can do for him to make his day better. I could go on and on. I have been divorced, and I never felt this way about my first husband. There is such a strong connection to my sweetie that we both felt it the first time we met. I can't believe it has happened to me at this stage in my life, but I sure hope we have a lot more years together.

well, i've asked many happily married couples what their answer to this was and i kept getting this answer: When you can't even imagine living your life with someone else. When you feel like your life started with them (and here's the often skipped over part) you want to go thru your whole life with them and they are the only ones you'd want at the end of your life. Of course, you'll be scared but not unsure when entering such a relationship.

If the person is someone you really like being around and get along with. I think that is more important than being head over heels crazy in love with someone. It also helps if you have things in common, like temperment and values. I don't think you always realize right away that the person is "the one". I think it happens gradually over time. When you realize that you'd rather be around your significant other more than anyone else, then that person is the one for you.

Its a bunch of little things all put together that make the puzzle complete..thats the key word actually...someone who makes you feel complete...satisfied both physically and spiritually...someone who accepts you for who you are and vice versa...someone whom when you realise you might lose you get a pain in your stomach and an ache in your heart....thats how you know!
